Chef Carmen and Javier
met while working at a restaurant.
Coming from a Peruvian-American family, Carmen grew up in the U.S., immersed in a blend of customs and traditions that kept her Peruvian heritage alive. For her, food has always been the strongest link to her roots. Javier, on the other hand, spent his early years in Peru before moving to the U.S. in his late teens, carrying with him rich memories and habits from a country renowned for its vibrant culture.
The shared roots, memories, and traditions they discovered through food forged an unbreakable bond, inspiring their dream project: Atomica. Carmen and Javier grew up in families and environments rich in music, art, and an abundance of culinary delights. Their creativity and artistic flair allow them to weave these shared experiences into the fabric of Atomica, creating an unconventional and eccentric restaurant that stands apart from the mainstream while celebrating their Peruvian heritage in a truly sublime way.
