“Dinner tonight waz fire.com. i tried their aji amarillo ceviche, cilantro ceviche and a variety of tacos. The food here is rediculously fresh for a food court. Nothing is made until you order it. Their ceviche is so amazing. A combination of fish, octopus, shrimp in A) yellow pepper sauce B) cilantro sauce topped with red onion, homony and cancha (crunchy peruvian corn). They are $16 and so worth it. The tacos on tuesday are $3 and so delightful. I highly suggest this killer joint.”

“After walking the whole MIA market twice since it was my first time there, I decided Jaffa had to be it because of my wife's veganism and my love for Israeli and Middle Eastern food as a whole. Having been to Israel three times, most recently end of 2019, and having grown up with great spots in Puerto Rico and Boston, my experience with fresh hummus has led to a high standard and boy did they deliver. The meat kebabs and hummus were very well seasoned and filling. Cannot wait to go back and will likely call on them to cater an event in the future.”

“Miami Nice inside MIA Market in the Design District is an absolute gem. The food is seriously on point--everything from the ribeye to the chicken and salmon wrap was cooked perfectly, and the croquettes were next-level addictive. You can tell real care and passion go into every dish. The ambiance is chill and inviting, making it a great spot to hang out and eat well, but what really sets this place apart are the owners--super cool guys who genuinely love food and it shows in both the flavors and the experience. Easily one of my favorite stops in the food hall, highly recommend.”

“Recently going to an eating event I found Yasu Tanaka and I knew I had to get a bite. I am always on the lookout for the best sushi in Miami and this place has not let me down.... Those that know sushi know that the rice is where the magic happens but this place goes above and beyond with not only amazing rice but the quality of the fish you get is on par with what I've experienced in Japan... this is one of those places that cares about the quality of the food they put out and your taste buds will sense that love. Can't wait to visit their brick and mortar to see what other high quality items they make that can make my tummy smile.”

“I am always craving Chef Yasu's sushi, and admire his skills. As always, it was absolutely phenomenal. Each bite was unique in its taste, and each bite was something I didn't want to end. Do NOT sleep on this place. It's the best sushi you can find in Miami, and probably the best in the state. I'd highly recommend opting for the 10 piece omakase, and choosing a hand roll to indulge in additionally on the side. If you want some cocktails, wine, or beer to go with it then you can get them at the bar in the middle of the MIA Market food court. There are places that charge more for lesser quality and more mediocre flavors. You will not find any better place for sushi regarding price, quality, and taste.”

“My wife and I went to lunch at Jaffa cafe inside the food court off 39th street in the Miami Design district. It was a cute cafe and we were greeted with smiles as we sat at the counter. We ordered the turmeric roasted Head of Cauliflower and Roasted Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The cauliflower came dripping with tahini sauce and cilantro. The chef served up a side of a middle eastern hot sauce and it all tasted pretty darn incredible. Lunch was then served. Not your typical plate of chicken shawarma but a triple tiered presentation with all the typical fixings. My wife had the brisket bowl and we both enjoyed the perfectly matched flavors. Which, because of the portion sized we had a second chance to enjoy for dinner as well. We finished the meal with some mint tea with date honey. If you're even in the design district and looking for a break from the sun, check out the food court at 140 NE 39th Street. Walk between the buildings, turn left, up the escalator and walk straight back. Jaffa is the first cafe' on the right as you enter the food court space. Now, this isn't your typical "mall" food court, this is high end and well deserving business attire and not shorts and flip flops. But hey, it's Miami, that goes too. Great food pouring over with flavors and a very nice atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back to this place for seconds!!! Oh, an I ordered Chef Yaniv Cohen's cook book too! Yeah, I'm hooked. “So happy I finally got to try this spot, it's been said before but it really is a hidden gem. By the end of the meal I was laughing at the tourists that were circling the market and unassumingly walking past as they were completely missing out. For the omakase - the quality to price ratio is insane. Every bite was melt in your mouth delicious. Each piece had a unique flavor, and it was arranged so that you could have that omakase journey like any other place. While I would have been satisfied after the 10-pc selection, I didn't want the experience to end (and was having a treat myself day) so per their recommendation I got the hamachi appetizer and spicy scallop handroll. Unsurprisingly, absolutely delicious. I'd recommend any sushi fan coming here, or bringing a first timer here that isn't willing to splurge on a more expensive omakase. It's also great for a treat yourself occasion on your own or with a friend - you can buy some sake to drink with your meal from The Bar across from their section. It's certainly a casual ambience being in the market with other vendors, but it's still the design district, so it maintains that upscale element. I went early so I got to chat with the staff a little who were so nice and helpful. I imagine it gets a bit busier as the day goes on, seems like a fun happy hour spot. I would definitely go out of my way to come to the design district strictly for this meal again.”

“How amazing it is to find a delicious option inside a food hall. This sushi counter spot inside Miami's Mia Market delivers high-quality food in an informal space, with outstanding service. They have a small menu, full of fresh and quality fish, some appetizers, and Omakase (10 pieces and one hand roll). They follow the idea of keeping it simple but delicious, the staff is very nice and always helping and explaining each piece of menu items. One of my favorite bites is the Uni & Ikura hand roll, the way that the fresh Uni melts with popping Ikura makes this hand roll a piece of heaven. If you are a sushi lover this will be your favorite spot in Miami.”

“One of my friends recommended here. To enjoy really good sushi, I need my Japanese friend!! So, we stopped by here today to enjoy Omakase. It came with 10 pieces of nigiri and one hand roll. All sushi were so fresh and tasty! We felt like we were in Japan! It's hard to get authentic sushi in Miami but this place has it. It's hidden inside the MIA market food hall. Even your friend or a company won't east raw fish, there are plenty other options. The service was a bit slow since it was a busy day. But this food hall is beautiful and while you are waiting, you could look around other places or grab a drink at the bar.”

“Holy cow THE FISH WAS AMAZING - we had to order another plate of nigiri! Most memorable nigiri were the scallop and fatty tuna for me. Despite its simplicity, quality is just out of this world Place was a little hard to find at first, we didn't realize it was inside the food court (out of towners here). But loved that the set up was food court style, this made it easy for us to find seats (which are really cute btw!) and also try other things like coffee after! I enjoyed this place more than most places in NYC honestly, will recommend to anyone visiting!”

The people that served me were super friendly & accommodating. I ordered my food & was checked on every 20 min. I definitely feel like I need to come back to try that roasted cauliflower with turmeric and one of their sandwiches ! Oh my gosh, the hummus and the tahini sauce is to die for ! So tasty! “If you find yourself at Sushi Yasu Tanaka inside Mia Market, do yourself a favor and try the ube dessert. It might be my new favorite. Layers of sweet purple yam (ube) sit over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, finished with a touch of edible gold leaf--simple but unforgettable. Altogether with tax, it came to just under $13, which felt worth every penny. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but the service was quick and friendly. The seating area is clean and spay.”

“Great sushi for the $ money. $70 gets you 10 pieces and a hand roll of premium quality sushi. My only issue with this place is they cut the fish in the morning so if you go later on in the day say around 6 pm the fish might be a little dry. That wasn't the case with my food however. I went at 12 noon and it tasted great! will I be back ? Maybe!”
