“I stopped at Jaffa because we were looking for a Middle Eastern place to grab a quick lunch. We had the chicken platter, which we shared and the chicken shawarma plate. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The hummus was very very good too. The food came quickly and the service was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. An overall very nice experience for a fresh, fast lunch. I would come back to Jaffa anytime.”

Now be warned this place is located inside of a "food hall" inside of the Miami's Design District and is quite the pretty penny. $$$$. However, the flavors, freshness, and technique that Chef Yasu brings to the table defines my expectations of some of the best food I have tasted in this lifetime. I tried the 8-piece nigiri platter as well as a hamachi hand roll and will definitely be back to have more. Just WOW.”

“Highly recommend Jaffa Restaurant!! We visited the Atlantic Village in Hallandale within 2-weeks of opening this new location. Five+ stars for cleanliness, ambiance, décor and service!! They also have the ideal menu; offering both unique/fusion dishes and authentic Middle Eastern favorites. Due to the size of our party, we decided to go mezze/tapas/family-style and ordered lots of different menu items. I can honestly say that everyone was impressed at how authentic and delicious everything was. Being that my hubby is Middle Eastern, I can vouch for it's authenticity. As for me, I will be returning very soon and ordering the Turmeric Cauliflower with Zaatar Tahini all to myself!”

“THAT GUAC THOUGH. I know its expensive but it is so worth it! I have usually been a "I want to leave full" kind of girl and I will agree the portions are small, but they pack such a flavor punch that I cant resist raving on my experience. Hot Lime is one of the many counters in St. Roch Market. (That place as a whole is pretty awesome and you should check out their reviews.) At first I ordered 2 tacos, the cochinito and the chicken. Then I saw the guac and, although it was a bit pricey, I couldn't resist. Im so glad I splurged for that, and so was the rest of my table because it was gone in about 30 seconds. So good. The tacos were amazing too. Also, as others have mentioned, they make the food to order so it is incredibly fresh. They were also really fast! I had my food and ate it by the time my friend got her sandwich from the spot next to Hot Lime. She had to take hers to go because we were in a rush and all of us who ordered from Hot Lime were finished! So.. fresh and fast. Overall, really happy with the taste, atmosphere and experience!”

“I am always craving Chef Yasu's sushi, and admire his skills. As always, it was absolutely phenomenal. Each bite was unique in its taste, and each bite was something I didn't want to end. Do NOT sleep on this place. It's the best sushi you can find in Miami, and probably the best in the state. I'd highly recommend opting for the 10 piece omakase, and choosing a hand roll to indulge in additionally on the side. If you want some cocktails, wine, or beer to go with it then you can get them at the bar in the middle of the MIA Market food court. There are places that charge more for lesser quality and more mediocre flavors. You will not find any better place for sushi regarding price, quality, and taste.”

“I can see why this is recommended by the MICHELIN Guide. Sushi Yasu Tanaka is located in MIA Market in Miami's Design District. They were not very busy when I went for an early light lunch on a Sunday. I had the chopped hamachi and negi sauce hand roll, one piece of the salmon nigiri and one piece of the akami sashimi. Food was served very quickly after I ordered. I could not fault it. I have been to Japan and this was top-quality sushi. Freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend.”

“The best sushi that exists in South Florida. But take note, once you eat this no other sushi in all of Miami will ever taste as good. I almost always get the salmon 5 piece, ototo charcoal and two wagyu miso hand rolls. But as you can imagine, everything is going to be amazing. Also, it's located inside of the food hall in palm court. Very easily accessible.”
