“I first tried the Wagyu and Uni and omg it was my top 3 for best i've ever had. i then decided to do the Omakase special and just WOW. I have no complaints. my three favorite nigiri's were the salmon, wagyu, and toro. It's pricey but i would definitely come back. I tried other places around and Yasu Tanaka tops them all. The service was also amazing. All around 100/10 experience.”

“Today my friend and i got to try this hidden gem located in the Mia Market and it was a 10/10. We were pleasantly greeted by Giovanni at the counter. He provided exceptional service and was very kind and patient with us as it was our first time here. He recommended us to go a la carte. “After walking the whole MIA market twice since it was my first time there, I decided Jaffa had to be it because of my wife's veganism and my love for Israeli and Middle Eastern food as a whole. Having been to Israel three times, most recently end of 2019, and having grown up with great spots in Puerto Rico and Boston, my experience with fresh hummus has led to a high standard and boy did they deliver. The meat kebabs and hummus were very well seasoned and filling. Cannot wait to go back and will likely call on them to cater an event in the future.”

“I stumbled upon MIA market trying to find a drink with bae. I noticed the restaurants in the market, I began looking them up just to check out reviews and to see if they were any good. I looked up Yasu Tanaka and was floored by the amount of 5 star reviews. I told bae, "we have to go there to try at least one thing," earlier we came from Tap 42. :/ ehhh...don't recommend. But we were full. Anyway, I talked to the guy at the front and told him congrats on the amazing reviews and how good the food must be. He thanked us, and persuaded us to at least try a hand roll. We did!! We waited. And they ended up bringing us an extra one! How nice! The Hamachi Hand rolls were amazing!! Super fresh, simple, and perfect. Fresh ginger and a perfect finish to our day! Thank you Yasu! I can't wait to come back to try the Omakase. Another 5 star review for your thoughtfulness and quality food!”

“If you haven't made your way to Chick & Smash inside MIA Market food hall, stop what you're doing and go. Right now. I'll wait. I've been a loyal customer since they first opened their doors, and my order has never changed — the Classic Cheeseburger with fries. Why mess with perfection? And yes, I always add a third patty, because once you experience those crispy, perfectly smashed patties with that irresistible crust, you'll understand why two just isn't enough. This burger is the real deal. We're talking thin, seared-to-perfection beef, melty cheese layered just right, all stacked into a beautiful, messy, glorious double (or triple, in my case) smash burger. The fries are the perfect sidekick — every single time. It's the kind of meal you think about on the drive over and talk about on the drive home. But what truly sets Chick & Smash apart is the people behind the counter. Dunia, the manager, is an absolute gem. Quick, efficient, and genuinely warm — she makes every visit feel like you're a regular even if it's your first time. Her hospitality is the kind that's rare these days, and it elevates the whole experience from great food to a place you actually want to come back to (and I do, often). If you love smash burgers — or even if you've never had one — Chick & Smash is the place to get your first. Do yourself a favor and order that third patty. You can thank me later.”

“My friend and I drove to the food hall for dinner on a Monday evening. The design district was pretty quiet, but it was still difficult to get metered parking and find the place. It's elevated on the third floor of the building so we you to take some stairs/escalators to get there. I chose Miami Nice out of the other options as I wasn't particularly starving and they had much more affordable options as well as croquettas which I recently enjoyed at another restaurant recently. You get four croquettas per order and they are about the size of a large hush-puppy. They will be blazing hot on the interior, so be careful taking that first bite or you may burn your lip like I did on that molten goodness inside it. I ate all four of them and did like to dip in the mustard that they provided. I think this is more of an appetizer than a meal due to most of it being liquidy. The recipe and presentation was much different than the type I had in Little Havana. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only frustration I had was that I got a bottle of soda, but it was $6 which I would have not ordered knowing that up front, so display of drink prices would have been appreciated. One tip I have is to get napkins when you order as the tables didn't seem to have any.”

“This Israeli restaurant is located inside the Mia Food Hall at the Design district. I recommend that you park inside one of the garages for better rates than street parking (which is becoming quite difficult to find) I loved what I ordered here which was the Sabich platter. The eggplant was incredible and everything was so full of flavour, from the spicy sauces to the hummus. One complaint that I had was the pricing, it feels elevated. Great pita bread here. Please keep in mind that this is a stand, so you will be going up to the counter to pick it up, yes there are tables to sit at, but not dedicated just to that restaurant. I made a trip from Doral and wasn't disappointed and you shouldn't be either.”

“I can see why this is recommended by the MICHELIN Guide. Sushi Yasu Tanaka is located in MIA Market in Miami's Design District. They were not very busy when I went for an early light lunch on a Sunday. I had the chopped hamachi and negi sauce hand roll, one piece of the salmon nigiri and one piece of the akami sashimi. Food was served very quickly after I ordered. I could not fault it. I have been to Japan and this was top-quality sushi. Freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend.”

“I stopped at Jaffa because we were looking for a Middle Eastern place to grab a quick lunch. We had the chicken platter, which we shared and the chicken shawarma plate. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The hummus was very very good too. The food came quickly and the service was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. An overall very nice experience for a fresh, fast lunch. I would come back to Jaffa anytime.”

“We liepen hier toevallig langs tijdens het shoppen, en hadden niet veel trek maar een bord humus laten we nooit schieten. Deze smaakt super lekker en is minstens zo goed als die we in Jeruzalem en Tel Aviv aten. Hele aardige eigenaar, we kregen vers ingevlogen baklava te proeven. We komen hier zeker nog terug!”

“The food court itself looks and smells good. Good atmosphere and many options of food and desserts. We chose jaffa - midterranian food. (glat kosher for who ever need it) Food that reminds me of home. The colors. Taste and spices will probably make mo go there again very soon. My 2 thumbs up !”

“Located inside the Mia market food court of Miami Design District. Walk- ins only- no reservations! You order and pay up front, they give you a number and bring out the food when ready. No counter seating either. Definitely a quick and fresh bite to fix a sushi craving mid shopping”
