GGoogle“Wow. Sushi in this place is absolutely phenomenal. I have to agree with other reviews saying that this place is probably one of the most underrated sushi places in Miami. Totally recommended!”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“The photos from other people made this place look like a real restaurant. Not a big deal at all, but just wanted to mention this place is inside of a food court market. Food was good. Staff was very nice.”

★Yelp“Michelin recommended AND glowing reviews?! I can see why! This sushi was fantastic! Excellent cuts of fish, super fresh and tasty. Decently priced omakase and fast service. Never would’ve expected this quality from a food hall.”

GGoogle“It was amazing!!!! Service is really good and warm I really enjoyed it. Food was fresh and delicious. Beware it is on the pricier side however its the Miami Design District so it is to be expected. Kuddos to the chefs and the servers!!!”

★Yelp“I am a regular here and this is my most visited sushi spot in Miami. The food and experience is consistent, always quick and fresh. I mean $59 for 10 piece omakase and handroll? You can't beat this. Perfect casual spot for lunch or grabbing sushi between shopping.”

★Yelp“First time in the Mia Market and looked around. This spot caught my eye with the District Dog. I got it with all the works and man did it hit the spot. The buns were toasted the flavor of the dog was great in itself. Great quality and great value! Also, they prepared it quickly. Will definitely visit again”
Miami Nice
GGoogle“Yes!! Am super picky about middle eastern food! We drove from Fort Lauderdale to try their food and it was worth it. Huge portions, well priced and reminds me of home! The staff were charming and helpful! Not to mention the atmosphere is spot on. We will be back! Oh we ate falafel, babaganosh, salads, sabich, humus, and a lot of other food lol! Rolling back home ..”

★Yelp“I can't say enough nice things about this place. I am a huge fan of Pari Pari which is the sister location so I had to check this one out. The fish is so fresh, the tables are open and inviting. My favorite things to get are hamachi jalapeño and the yellowtail handroll. Service is super top notch and it is located in a market in the design district so it is a full hall of people. I highly recommend!”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“Ridiculously good for a food court location; "Michelin 2025" on the wall speaks to that! Better than a lot of restaurants I've been to in the US. Very respectable fish list; not wildly extensive but some great choices of a variety of bluefin tuna, shima aji, kinmedai, uni, etc. All nicely put together. Your order comes out quick. Easy recommendation if you're in the area, or passing between the airport and Mid Beach. Totally would stop by again.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“Located in the MIA market in the design district, Sushi Yasu is a surprisingly excellent place for sushi. The sushi is traditional style, fresh and tastes excellent. They have a few set menus but you can also order a la carte. We had the omakase and every piece was great. Service is excellent, but it's worth noting that you order from a counter, fond place to sit and then your meal is brought to you. Don't let that fool you into thinking this is mediocre sushi, it's on par with some of the best sushi you can get outside of Japan.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“This is a hidden gem within the MIA Market. There are many options inside the Market but being the sushi lover that I am I decided to give Sushi Yasu a try. This restaurant is run by a Michelin rated chef. The quality of the fish is amazing and none like any other that I've had unless of course you go to a sit down restaurant or omakase. I ordered the Omakase as well as a Wagyu hand roll both of which where exquisite. I also tried the tuna sampler and the salmon sampler. The quality is top notch. So when in MIA Market don't think twice and hit up this spot!”

★Yelp“Probably the best value omakase in the world. Absolutely delicious Update: tonight after looking forward to Yasu Tanaka all week we were turned away as the group that arrived before us made such a big order that staff had to shut the restaurant down for 45 minutes to accomodate. I can understand this is a small operation, but when you are building a loyal customer base that are willing to travel (over 30 mins in my case) to dine at your restaurant you need to manage your supply chain better than just turning people away. Now, i can only recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and have a very flexible schedule. Shame as the grub is top”

GGoogle“Hands down one of the BEST sushi spots in miami. I waited a while to write a review simply because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself. Whenever chef runs out of his super fresh, high quality fish, he closes for the day. And the more people know about this spot, the more likely he's going to run out of supplies so.... Chef Tanaka is the real deal. His dedication to his craft is reflected in every dish he serves. And I don't know anyone as nice and deserving as him and his family. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, really. Everything is exquisite. And the fish is melt in your mouth, buttery fresh. He brings in awesome variety from all over (local and Japan) and is always changing things up to keep it interesting. Which is nice for us locals who come to see him often! Yes, he has a following of locals because he's that good and his food is that incredible. If you know about Japanese food, and the proper preparation of the rice, fish, fresh wasabi, etc... then you MUST try this spot. And be prepared to become obsessed. PLUS you're supporting a small business - which makes it even better!”

★Yelp“It may look like your average Mediterranean cuisine, but Jaffa is anything but! It's located in the beautiful Miami Design District, inside of the St.Roch Market. I wandered in with a friend on a Friday evening and saw the collections of vendors and restaurant stalls that the market had to offer. However, Jaffa immediately called my attention not only because we were greeted by the friendly staff, but the incredible aroma of roasted cauliflower, falafel, and the spices just reminded of comfort food from back home. The restaurant was filling up quickly with a line of the customer but the staff still managed to assist every guest with a friendly welcoming attitude and deliver our food in manageable time. I ordered the falafel rice bowl (probably one of the BEST falafels in Miami!!) and my friend ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl (the spices in the chicken could be smelled from afar). In addition, we shared a whole Roasted turmeric Cauliflower (which is a MUST try dish if you're stopping by) it comes with zaatar spiced tahini and their warm, delicious, fluffy pita bread. The Roasted turmeric cauliflower is such a great option for anyone, especially if you're vegan. Not only is beyond delicious but is such a healthy and satisfying dish (I could eat a whole head by myself!). When our bowls arrived, our expectations continued to be exceeded. The falafels were nice and crispy, flavorful, and chewy. The toppings worked together beautifully. The spiced turmeric rice and tabouleh were packed with flavor, and the tahini had a great consistency and very smooth texture. My friend fell in love with their chicken shawarma. The chicken was packed with wonderful spices creating such a flavorful dish. Everything in their food was filled with wonderful taste and great presentation. By the end of the meal, we were already planning our next visit with a couple of more friends. With so many chef-centric food halls that the St.Roch Market has to offer, Jaffa is truly one of my favorite spots! This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night or any day you feel like taking a break from your busy life!”

★Yelp“Hands down the best quality sushi my boyfriend and I have had in Miami.... and maybe anywhere (we travel a lot) and we love trying all the best sushi spots! You can absolutely taste the difference. Try any of the so called "best" sushi places in Miami and then come here and you will immediately notice how the fish here just melts in your mouth. There is an obvious care put into sourcing this fish - it tastes so incredibly fresh. Just a heads up on the location: We were racing to get there before they closed and the security guards of the shopping center tried to tell us it was two streets the opposite way in a standalone building. Glad we didn't listen to them. This is inside a food hall on the second floor of the outdoor shopping mall. Come here and have the best sushi you will have in the U.S. without being overcharged all these silly prices the other sushi spots charge. Honestly, I know I shouldn't speak badly about the other sushi spots... but we spent an embarrassing amount of money on sushi the week BEFORE coming here for the first time. Never again. I could eat this sushi every day for the rest of my life - its that good. So incredibly fresh. If you've come this far: I also took my very talented chef friend (who has cooked for many celebrities) here.... he was VERY impressed and he doesn't impress easily when it comes to food. :) Can't say enough great things about the quality of fish here!”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“This was inside a food court in a shopping center, the restaurant is in the back left side of the food court. We tried the omakase and it was definitely an experience lol. You go to the counter and then place your order and take a seat anywhere in the food court. They end up finding you with the number system. The sushi was pretty good for the price! It definitely was not filling lol, even after the hand roll and extra pieces. I'd recommend eating something else or maybe doubling up (if you are looking to spend$) The guys were very nice and explained each and every piece but you can see that they are afraid that we forgot what each piece was... which we did. But I still appreciate them coming around and to explain it!”

★Yelp“Sushi Yasu Tanaka is a true gem in the Miami Design District 🍣✨. The quality of the fish is outstanding—fresh, perfectly prepared, & beautifully presented 🐟👌. Every bite feels carefully crafted, with attention to both flavor & detail. The omakase experience 🎌 is next-level, showcasing creativity, balance, & traditional Japanese precision. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, & makes the experience feel special 💯. If you’re looking for authentic sushi in Miami 🌆, this is the place to be. Highly recommend Sushi Yasu Tanaka for anyone who appreciates Japanese cuisine 🌟.”

GGoogle“I cannot believe I had one of the best sushi in a food hall at the Miami Design District. The fish melts in your mouth and it combined so well with the sauces. I usually always order spicy mayo on the side, but it was not needed for this roll. We liked it so much that we had to buy it again. Not because we were hungry but it was just that delicious. I also tried the Wagyu hand roll and it was fantastic as well. I also loved the service and cleanliness from the place. I will definitely return to here to have this special roll again.”

GGoogle“Holy. Crap. Omg. AMAZING. I'm already drooling thinking about the tuna selection. Now be warned this place is located inside of a "food hall" inside of the Miami's Design District and is quite the pretty penny. $$$$. However, the flavors, freshness, and technique that Chef Yasu brings to the table defines my expectations of some of the best food I have tasted in this lifetime. I tried the 8-piece nigiri platter as well as a hamachi hand roll and will definitely be back to have more. Just WOW.”

★Yelp“Sardomare at MIA Market is like a full blown authentic Italian restaurant in MIA market food hall at the Miami Designe District. We met the owner and Chef Daniel Senis. Treated us like family. The other important part was the food. Everything is fresh and homemade from Sardinia. The bolognese, the salad and the antipasto were actually perfection. Coming back and encouraging home to open more places in South Florida”
Sardomare Pasta Bar
GGoogle“Came here to meet a friend who recommended Jaffa for both the yummy food and outdoor dining. You go inside a foodhall to place the order and pickup the food but there are tables outside to sit. Between us we got sabich, falafel pita, deconstructed falafel and deconstructed sabich. We also ordered limonana and Israeli sodas. Our group is primarily vegetarian/vegan and we liked our options.”
Jaffa
★Yelp“Been coming here at least once a month for 2 years now. Best sushi in Miami in my opinion… the fish literally MELTS in your mouth, the ingredients taste fresh, and the price point is great. I always get the omakase or the tuna special. Every single person I have brought to show has never been disappointed. We are all obsessed 🤩”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“Love this beautiful food hall. This ceviche place is pretty good. I ordered a classic ceviche, which I’m very happy about. The fish is very fresh and the taste is citrusy and light. The chips & salsa is just fine, maybe because I come from San Diego, so probably I have a high standard for that.”

GGoogle“This quality of this sushi is amazing. You don't know what to expect in a setting like this but it's off the charts good. On top of it the guys behind the counter and the people who run the food are very friendly and informative. I love stopping here.”
