GGoogle“The highest-quality sushi I've had in Miami. The Salmon Aburi is the best $6 you'll spend in the Design District. Quick service, fresh fish - incredible value for money.”

★Yelp“Unassuming restaurant serving delicious fresh sushi in a food court. Pricey, and the atmosphere is not ideal, as it is a food court, but quality matches. I'd go again and again.”

★Yelp“Best sushi in Miami. I’m vegan so not much for me but I had a cucumber maki roll and it was delicious. My friends all said that from a quality and value perspective this place is the best of the best!”

GGoogle“Michelin recommended AND glowing reviews?! I can see why! This sushi was fantastic! Excellent cuts of fish, super fresh and tasty. Decently priced omakase and fast service. Never would’ve expected this quality from a food hall.”

GGoogle“The best affordable omakase! I've wanted to go to them for months now. Did a take out with them and i was not at all disappointed. The fresh wasabi was an experience. I want to dine there next time i try them. Highly recommend their omakase or a platter.”

GGoogle“The best place for sushi in Miami, the quality is beyond and the deliveries are daily. I can't praise these guys enough and how well they execute service. The slices of fish are cut so well and presented in fantastic ways. I will always keep continuing to support this place. Make sure to check them out at Mia Market”

★Yelp“By far my favorite place in Miami to get sushi. The lunch special is not only unbeatable, but the quality of fish is unlike any other place here in Miami. It's so soft and buttery. The chef is so sweet and you can tell this place really is authentic and he loves what he does. I've recommended this place to at least 10 people over the years and they've all become obsessed.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“$50 dollar omakase is unheard of, especially at the quality. The fish were fresh and basically melted in our mouths. The garnishes and flavors complicated each other. They also used real wasabi, which is rare for even "high end" restaurants. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in Miami again. The only thing was we did not know what fish we were eating or what order we should eat.”

GGoogle“Highly recommend Jaffa Restaurant!! We visited the Atlantic Village in Hallandale within 2-weeks of opening this new location. Five+ stars for cleanliness, ambiance, décor and service!! They also have the ideal menu; offering both unique/fusion dishes and authentic Middle Eastern favorites. Due to the size of our party, we decided to go mezze/tapas/family-style and ordered lots of different menu items. I can honestly say that everyone was impressed at how authentic and delicious everything was. Being that my hubby is Middle Eastern, I can vouch for it's authenticity. As for me, I will be returning very soon and ordering the Turmeric Cauliflower with Zaatar Tahini all to myself!”
Jaffa
★Yelp“This was inside a food court in a shopping center, the restaurant is in the back left side of the food court. We tried the omakase and it was definitely an experience lol. You go to the counter and then place your order and take a seat anywhere in the food court. They end up finding you with the number system. The sushi was pretty good for the price! It definitely was not filling lol, even after the hand roll and extra pieces. I'd recommend eating something else or maybe doubling up (if you are looking to spend$) The guys were very nice and explained each and every piece but you can see that they are afraid that we forgot what each piece was... which we did. But I still appreciate them coming around and to explain it!”

★Yelp“I stumbled upon MIA market trying to find a drink with bae. I noticed the restaurants in the market, I began looking them up just to check out reviews and to see if they were any good. I looked up Yasu Tanaka and was floored by the amount of 5 star reviews. I told bae, "we have to go there to try at least one thing," earlier we came from Tap 42. :/ ehhh...don't recommend. But we were full. Anyway, I talked to the guy at the front and told him congrats on the amazing reviews and how good the food must be. He thanked us, and persuaded us to at least try a hand roll. We did!! We waited. And they ended up bringing us an extra one! How nice! The Hamachi Hand rolls were amazing!! Super fresh, simple, and perfect. Fresh ginger and a perfect finish to our day! Thank you Yasu! I can't wait to come back to try the Omakase. Another 5 star review for your thoughtfulness and quality food!”

★Yelp“This restaurant is likely Miami's best kept secret. It's a culinary gem that's hides in plain sight. Located within the MIA Market, Tanaka Sensei works his sushi wizardry alongside a skeleton crew. I started with their omakase (chef's tasting) menu, and I'm telling you that if you like sushi even a little bit, you simply must come and try it. At $59 it's the best dining bargain in Miami, with 10 pieces of sushi plus a hand roll to finish. Oh, and they get everything right: the rice, the ginger, the service are all impeccable and enhance the experience. The venue itself is modest, being one of a number of kiosks surrounding the large dining area, making a sort of high-end food court. You order at the kiosk, then get a stanchion with a number on it and bring it back to your table. Service is polite and prompt. You can get tea or water from SYT, or alcohol from some of the other kiosks. My meal was perfect, but I was so amazed I had to try more. I followed up the omakase with the salmon special, which is 7 pieces each done differently but expertly. It costs $35 and is just as sublime as the omakase menu. I will certainly return as often as I can before this place moves to a new venue more fitting to its class.”

★Yelp“So happy I finally got to try this spot, it's been said before but it really is a hidden gem. By the end of the meal I was laughing at the tourists that were circling the market and unassumingly walking past as they were completely missing out. For the omakase - the quality to price ratio is insane. Every bite was melt in your mouth delicious. Each piece had a unique flavor, and it was arranged so that you could have that omakase journey like any other place. While I would have been satisfied after the 10-pc selection, I didn't want the experience to end (and was having a treat myself day) so per their recommendation I got the hamachi appetizer and spicy scallop handroll. Unsurprisingly, absolutely delicious. I'd recommend any sushi fan coming here, or bringing a first timer here that isn't willing to splurge on a more expensive omakase. It's also great for a treat yourself occasion on your own or with a friend - you can buy some sake to drink with your meal from The Bar across from their section. It's certainly a casual ambience being in the market with other vendors, but it's still the design district, so it maintains that upscale element. I went early so I got to chat with the staff a little who were so nice and helpful. I imagine it gets a bit busier as the day goes on, seems like a fun happy hour spot. I would definitely go out of my way to come to the design district strictly for this meal again.”

★Yelp“I happened to be in MIA market checking out the dining options and came across Sushi Yasu Tanaka. What really drew my attention to this spot was the omakase menu: for the price of $60 you receive 10 nigiri pieces and a handroll. Honestly you can't get any more bang for your buck than this! I was so blown away by the nigiri pieces, every bite was so flavorful and FRESH! The tuna pieces especially were so fatty, they just melt in your mouth. The rice is has light touches of vinegar and it's not overpowering. What was also notable to me was the scallop nigiri - while I'm not the biggest scallop fan, the scallop was so fatty and a burst of spice came forth with the first bite. The piece was so unique I had to include it in my review. The service was quick and they serve you the handroll after you've finished with the nigiri. Honestly you are paying for the quality of food without having to pay for the expense of sitting inside a fancy restaurant - which I don't mind one bit. I sat down inside MIA market with my friend and had a wonderful time working through our meal. MIA market is kept very clean and has lots of windows for plenty of natural sunlight. I definitely want to visit again and can say with confidence this is a true gem in disguise.”

★Yelp“Ever since visiting Israel a few years ago and falling in love with the greatest food in the world, I've been on the hunt for Israeli or even southern Mediterranean food here in the US to at least get close to the freshness and taste of being there. Until today, I've been coming up short. Then I saw Jaffa Israeli Kitchen opened in Hallandale and told my wife this was all I wanted to do on my birthday. We jumped on one of their two mezze starters, got their beef kofta, and dairy free pistachio ice cream. ALL OF IT WAS INCREDIBLE! With their doors open to enbrace today's incredible weather, it was almost like being on the harbor eating in Jaffa. We met the owner/chef Yaniv Cohen, who was wonderful to speak to and hear how he prepared some of the dishes. Make reservations and go. You will NOT be disappointed. Hell, tell me when you're going, Ill go with you. It's definitely in rotation now.”
Jaffa
★Yelp“Food came out really quick, and the serving felt high quality even though it's a food mall. The server was well dressed and my food looked amazing. I didn't know what to expect, it's salmon with avocado topped with torched salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce and truffle oil. The salmon was so soft and the torched salmon on top is a great touch, it genuinely melts in my mouth and the crunchy rice crackers on top is an amazing touch. I have no idea how they made it that way but the sauce and oil blends great too, it's one of the few rolls I don't have to drown in soy sauce and can actually enjoy the taste. The actual area has a very nice vibe to it, the ambiance is great there's music playing at the bar area and there's circular overhead lights that gives a nice feel even though it's in a mall.”

★Yelp“I honestly can't rave about this spot enough! It is the actual definition of a hidden gem and although, it's hard for me to want to share, it absolutely deserves every ounce of recognition! My bf brought me here for one of our first dates and now we come at least once a month and it has won our hearts for favorite place in Miami! We are huge sushi fans and there is no where that has even compared. It's in a food court type area so there are other options if you are traveling with multiple people and there is a bar in the middle that makes amazing drinks! If you want literally the most fresh and flavorful sushi in the area, it's a must visit. Could not recommend it enough and the staff is absolutely incredible. 10/10”

GGoogle“I have found my new home for tacos. I have tried a lot of tacos in Miami and they always fall short. That is certainly not the case with HotLime. I was blown away by how good the tacos are. I tried the beef and pork tacos and both were delicious. I usually end up drowning tacos in hot sauce but I didn't want to change the flavor in these amazing taco specimens. The guacamole is fresh and well balanced in flavor. I enjoyed my meal with some ceviche which also exceeded expectations.”

GGoogle“I first tried the Wagyu and Uni and omg it was my top 3 for best i've ever had. i then decided to do the Omakase special and just WOW. I have no complaints. my three favorite nigiri's were the salmon, wagyu, and toro. It's pricey but i would definitely come back. I tried other places around and Yasu Tanaka tops them all. The service was also amazing. All around 100/10 experience.”

GGoogle“Beautiful fresh fish served quickly and simply. The chef and owner should take pride in his approach and creations. We love the omakase and the hand rolls. Our family makes it a point to visit nearly every time we come down to the Design District. Fresh, fun and fast. A gem. Highly recommend it.”

GGoogle“The best sushi I have ever had. There was a 20 minute wait for your food but it was 100% worth the wait. The fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth. Absolutely recommend, it is a little expensive but the quality makes it worth it.”
