“A DELICIOUS and affordable omakase at $59. Randomly in a food court, but who cares when that grilled otoro could bring me to tears? Plus the servers were so friendly and attentive that you couldn't get better service in a five-star restaurant. Everything was tasty, but favorites were the fatty tuna, the scallop, the truffle yellowtail, and the smoky salmon. Go here yesterday and send me some in the mail.”

“I can see why this is recommended by the MICHELIN Guide. Sushi Yasu Tanaka is located in MIA Market in Miami's Design District. They were not very busy when I went for an early light lunch on a Sunday. I had the chopped hamachi and negi sauce hand roll, one piece of the salmon nigiri and one piece of the akami sashimi. Food was served very quickly after I ordered. I could not fault it. I have been to Japan and this was top-quality sushi. Freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend.”

“Food here was excellent. I got the omakase, salmon sushi, and ube soybean ice cream. The hand roll and omakase selection were fresh and fantastic with each fish having its unique texture and flavor highlighted. The salmon was excellent. Nice fatty and smooth cuts of salmon with a couple being charred to add some more layers of flavor. Ice cream was amazing. The complimentary flavors of ube and soybean was a great mix of umami, salty, and sweet. Atmosphere is an inconspicuous food hall which the main staff for this restaurant being the sushi chefs.”

“High quality fish for very good prices! We got the omakase and shared a few other things. Honestly even the cucumber roll was superb. We also took a charcoal toro and a bourbon toro which were excellent as well. Hamachi jalapeño is a must. Quickly prepared and super fresh. Really nice that it's by the design district, you wouldn't think you'd get good quality fish in a food court but this really surprised us. Even the service was great dispite it not being a sit down restaurant, always coming by the tables to check on us. They also accommodate to specific tastes and provide kosher fish options. Will definitely be coming again!”

“Food came out really quick, and the serving felt high quality even though it's a food mall. The server was well dressed and my food looked amazing. I didn't know what to expect, it's salmon with avocado topped with torched salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce and truffle oil. The salmon was so soft and the torched salmon on top is a great touch, it genuinely melts in my mouth and the crunchy rice crackers on top is an amazing touch. I have no idea how they made it that way but the sauce and oil blends great too, it's one of the few rolls I don't have to drown in soy sauce and can actually enjoy the taste. The actual area has a very nice vibe to it, the ambiance is great there's music playing at the bar area and there's circular overhead lights that gives a nice feel even though it's in a mall.”

“I found this awesome food court on the second floor at the Design District. They have 6 other types of food here also. Foodie heaven! Well I love great tacos and this place did not disappoint me. I had the Shorty which is their slow braised short rib. This was absolutely delicious! The meat was moist so flavorful and tender. It melts in your mouth. Next was the Garlic Shrimp taco. Chile de Arbol with House chipolte aloli. Another winner! 3 nice sized shrimp with diced tomatoes with the aloli. So tasty and the shrimp were cooked perfect. I could have eaten 2 more but I resisted. They do have $3 tacos after 4pm on Tuesday. I will be back for that. They also serve Ceviche and have freshly made guacamole. Try them out you will be impressed.”

“I've frequented Jaffa several times at the St. Roch Market. In my numerous visits, I've never been disappointed. The hummus is fantastic. Thick but creamy texture, dusted with spices and when paired with their crisp cumin-seasoned Falafel, Israeli salad and tahini, a perfect lunch or dinner. Roast cauliflower is beautifully plated and quite exceptionally tasty, slathered with yogurt. Deconstructed babaganoush with roast chickpeas is both a delicious and healthy snack. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Portions are quite large - bring a dining companion!”

“After walking the whole MIA market twice since it was my first time there, I decided Jaffa had to be it because of my wife's veganism and my love for Israeli and Middle Eastern food as a whole. Having been to Israel three times, most recently end of 2019, and having grown up with great spots in Puerto Rico and Boston, my experience with fresh hummus has led to a high standard and boy did they deliver. The meat kebabs and hummus were very well seasoned and filling. Cannot wait to go back and will likely call on them to cater an event in the future.”

“I cannot believe I had one of the best sushi in a food hall at the Miami Design District. The fish melts in your mouth and it combined so well with the sauces. I usually always order spicy mayo on the side, but it was not needed for this roll. We liked it so much that we had to buy it again. Not because we were hungry but it was just that delicious. I also tried the Wagyu hand roll and it was fantastic as well. I also loved the service and cleanliness from the place. I will definitely return to here to have this special roll again.”

“I first tried the Wagyu and Uni and omg it was my top 3 for best i've ever had. i then decided to do the Omakase special and just WOW. I have no complaints. my three favorite nigiri's were the salmon, wagyu, and toro. It's pricey but i would definitely come back. I tried other places around and Yasu Tanaka tops them all. The service was also amazing. All around 100/10 experience.”
